the time has come for me to reach out to you and beg you to be my guinea pigs! not the kind i plan to perform weird science on, but rather a small group of helpful folks who are interested in trying out some jewelry prototypes! interested? read on...

for the past year and a half my shrink plastic jewelry has done quite well, but has been an unreliable medium. i am also working on a 5 year plan to be a self-employed artist, and with that have been putting change into motion. new products, better products, more products. i have had the privilege of selling and consigning to galleries and boutiques but hope to do it much more frequently in the coming year. with that, i need an upgraded jewelry line. here is where you come into play!

i am looking for a group of people who want to try out my new jewelry prototypes experimenting with metal, wood, and glass. i have a few different directions that i like but want your help narrowing it down. so i am proposing a prototype kit, at the value of $25 (including shipping) for whoever is interested in participating. in this kit you will receive:
-3 prototype pendants (if you already own one of the necklaces from my existing line) or 2 prototypes and 1 original design from my current line of necklaces
-1 silver plated snake chain
-detailed survey (via email and snail mail)

how it works:
-if you are interested in purchasing a kit, please immediately e-mail me at laurenbeachamphoto@yahoo.com with the subject "prototype jewelry." the deadline to "enter" is february 14th - 2 weeks from now. please specify in the email if you have any requests for an image on your jewelry. i will do my best to get at least ONE image that you request onto the jewelry in your kit, but don't make any guarantees. the current images that are available can be seen here. if you like surprises, even better!
-once you send me your email, i will send you a link to where you may purchase the kit. immediate payment is required through paypal unless we have worked out something else previously.
-after february 14th, i will start putting together the kits. please allow 2-3 weeks for these to be completed as i will be ordering certain materials based on the number of participants.
-i will be sending you a survey in both your email and in the kit. after you receive the jewelry, please try them out for a week or two. after getting a good feel for all of the pieces, please fill out the survey (via email or snail mail) in as much detail and with as much honesty as you can and send it back to me. *please note that filling out this survey IS A REQUIREMENT for participating in this trial. i will require all surveys be returned to me by may 1, 2010.*
